Sleeping TennisUnderworld
Cari Lettori,
avrete notato – quantomeno i più affezionati di voi – che negli ultimi mesi non vi sono più state pubblicazioni su TenniUnderworld e che certi tornei junior, anche importanti, non sono stati coperti. Come probabilmente saprete, TennisUnderworld non è un sito gestito da giornalisti professionisti, ma da persone che nella vita quotidiana si occupano di tutt’altro. Ultimamente tutti noi siamo stati molto impegnati con i rispettivi lavori e abbiamo deciso di sospendere per un po’ l’attività sul sito pensando, intanto, a come procedere per il futuro.
Abbiamo alla fine deciso di continuare con il nostro “lavoro”, ma di cambiare un po’ il format del sito al fine di renderlo per noi più gestibile: non riusciamo più a pubblicare tre pezzi a settimana, come abbiamo fatto nel passato, almeno in certi periodi dell’anno.
Abbiamo quindi deciso che, in via generale, saranno pubblicati su TennisUnderworld nuovi contenuti con cadenza settimanale, tendenzialmente il lunedì. Si alterneranno articoli in inglese scritti da Tommy Hemp con articoli in Italiano scritti da Paolo Angella; Franco scriverà quando ne avrà voglia; probabilmente coprirà il torneo di Firenze. Continueremo come sopra, quantomeno fino al Bonfiglio, torneo che giungerà alla 60° edizione e che veramente desideriamo coprire.
Quelli di cui sopra sono i nostri propositi: certe volte io e Paolo ci potremmo invertire di ordine, per esigenze particolari; magari pubblicheremo contenuti infrasettimanali; il tutto dipenderà da come ci sentiremo di procedere visto che, alla fine, si tratta di un hobby. Comunque, il piano è di offrirvi per un po’ almeno un contenuto a settimana.
Ci scusiamo in anticipo se non riusciremo a mantenere quanto sopra scritto; siate comunque sicuri che ci proveremo.

Dear Readers,
You may have noticed – at least the most faithful of you – that TennisUnderworld got stuck in the last few months and that certain main junior events were not covered. As you may know, TennisUnderworld is not run by professional journalists; actually, each of the three persons who write on this website has a job completely unrelated to tennis. We all have had real busy periods with our lives lately and we decided to suspend publication on this website for a while, thinking in the meantime on how to proceed in the future.
As we do not want to put an end to TennisUnderworld, we have decided to change a bit its format, in order to make its maintenance less burdensome: to continue as before, writing in some periods three articles per week, would be far too time consuming for us.
We have decided that, as a general plan, from now on TennisUnderworld will be updated on a weekly basis; most of times new articles will be uploaded on Monday. English articles written by Tommy Hemp will alternate to Italian Articles written by Paolo. Franco will write something whenever he will feel; hopefully (and probably) he will cover a bit of the Florence tournament. We will continue as described above at least untill Bonfiglio, as we really want to cover the 60th edition of this tournament.
The above is just a general plan: sometimes me and Paolo may switch turns to accommodate our own schedules; sometimes extra-articles will be uploaded; it will depend, really, on how we feel as, eventually, this is a hobby for all of us three. Hopefully, in any case, you will manage to find new material at the beginning of each week.
We excuse in anticipation with you if we can’t stick to our own words: be sure, in any case that we will do our best to comply with the above plan.
Best to all of you and a special thank you to those of you (and some days there were many) who continued in these months to read material uploaded on TUW, even if no more new articles were published.
